In both of his Sunday appearances, Bolton also refused to answer questions about reports from NBC News and the Washington Post, in which anonymous USA intelligence officials say North Korea has been ramping up its production of nuclear fuel at multiple secret sites and coming up with ways to deceive the us about the scale of its nuclear weapons program.

"Physically we would be able to dismantle the overwhelming bulk of their programs within a year".

That assessment has reportedly concluded that North Korea is not only trying expand their arsenal in the weeks since the summit, but figure out how to declare less nuclear weapons and nuclear fuel production facilities than they have.

During his big Fox News interview with Maria Bartiromo, President Donald Trump talked again about his relationship with Kim Jong Un.

However, Bolton said the US does not yet have a full accounting of North Korea's nuclear arsenal.

According to the daily, evidence collected by U.S. intelligence points to preparations to deceive the USA about the number of nuclear warheads in North Korea's arsenal as well as the existence of undisclosed facilities used to make fissile material for nuclear bombs.

"But there's not any. starry eyed feeling among the group doing this that we're well, well aware of what the North Koreans have done in the past", he added.

Kim is the USA ambassador to the Philippines and has been one of the key United States officials dealing with the North Koreans leading up to the Trump-Kim summit.

USA intel agencies suspect that Pyongyang has been increasing production of nuclear fuel at multiple secret sites, NBC reported Friday.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo congratulated Harry Harris, 61, in a tweet published on Saturday afternoon, saying that "a lot of work ahead" waiting for Harris, including the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula. "I'll likely travel back before too terribly long", the top U.S. diplomat said recently. North Korea has great potential for the future! North Korea must keep its commitments, which should all be verifiable, before any sanctions are lifted'.

Trump defended his decision to suspend "war games" with close ally South Korea - a significant concession to North Korea, which so far has suspended nuclear and missile tests and destroyed tunnels at its nuclear test site but not taken further concrete steps to denuclearize.
