Prominent figures from the music world and beyond are expressing shock and sadness at the shooting death of 20-year-old rap breakout XXXTentacion earlier today.

She drove to the end of the street and saw the rapper's body in the auto.

Shortly after news of his untimely death at age 20, fans on social media began circulating a recent live video he posted to Instagram, where he discussed what he wanted for his legacy should he "die a tragic death".

" At least one of the suspects fired a gun and struck the rapper before fleeing in a dark-colored S.U.V. Mr. Onfroy was transported to a local hospital".

"It's just weird because he should've had security and stuff with him".

Kanye West led the tributes Monday, saying he was grateful to the young rapper "for existing".

He tweeted, "RIP XXXTentacion".

Rapper J Cole hailed the star's "enormous talent and limitless potential". His ? album reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts, a circumstance which polarized the hip-hop community based on the allegations of abuse made against him by his ex-girlfriend.

Family members and friends were in the house's yard but declined to comment. He also has several songs that have been declared platinum, including "Changes", "Roll in Peace" with fellow rapper Kodak Black and "Look at Me!"

Born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, XXXTentacion was facing more than a dozen felony charges - including domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend and witness tampering. A further report indicated witnesses told officers that a Louis Vuitton bag was stolen from XXXTentacion's vehicle.

Both XXXTentacion's personal life and career were marked with controversy. TMZ reported that a judge recently granted his request to be let off house arrest so he could tour. The move came as part of Spotify's attempt to condemn artists who break a "hate content and hateful conduct" policy. Definitely gonna make to bump that next time I play'.
