Brazil star Neymar made a stunning return from injury with a superb goal in their 2-0 friendly victory over Croatia on Sunday.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino scored Brazil's second goal in the 90th.

Brazil, who became the first team to qualify for the World Cup in March, face Austria next Sunday before starting their Group E campaign against Switzerland on 17 June.

Brazil face Austria in their final pre-World Cup friendly on June 10 before taking on Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia in Group E in Russian Federation. 'I need to lose that fear as quickly as possible to arrive at the World Cup at my best'.

The most expensive player in the world has been sidelined since 25 February, when he fractured a metatarsal and sprained his ankle playing for Paris St Germain in a French league match against Olympique de Marseille.

On Coutinho's first return to Anfield, it was noticeable how much he was whistled by sections of the crowd.

Reports have claimed that Neymar and his camp are pushing for a transfer to Real Madrid this summer, just a year after joining PSG in a world-record £198 million deal.

On a swift counter-attack, Neymar collected a pass from Philippe Coutinho on the edge of Croatia's area, darting towards goal and beating three defenders before switching the ball from his left to right foot.

They had needed goalkeeper Alisson to get down well to keep out a drive from Andrej Kramaric after Miranda gave the ball away.

Speaking on Saturday, Brazil coach Tite had said Neymar would make a second-half appearance.

Until Neymar stepped onto the pitch it was Croatia which had the best opportunities in a match that seemed headed for a tiresome draw.
