The rapper who is a huge fan of the Raptors and also serves as a global ambassador for the team is usually seen courtside during games. But not before one visiting player got an earful from Toronto's most famous fan.
"I'm fine", Perkins said with a smirk.
The jawing resumed after the game.
ESPN reports that the "Nice for What" rapper, 31, and the National Basketball Association star, 33, went head-to-head on Tuesday, May 1, during halftime at Game 1 after Perkins was allegedly bashing former teammate Serge Ibaka.
The Cavs big man doesn't seem concerned with Drake's trolling, though. He said that Drake cut in on their conversation "talking sh**".
Perkins was trash-talking his former teammate Serge Ibaka, according to ESPN.
Perkins didn't hear exactly what he said, ESPN adds, but he knew it was something slick, and he responded to Drake with, "Sit you're a** down and watch the game". "I'm here in real life", he said.
The Degrassi alum made light of the situation via Instagram shortly after, writing on journalist Elliott Wilson's post covering the incident, "I just said I liked the hem on his capris".
The heated exchange between Perkins and Drake grew even hotter at the end of the Cavaliers' 112-110 overtime win. LeBron James recorded a triple-double, with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds and received solid support from his teammates, with Tristan Thompson registering 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Smith and Korver scored 20 and 19 points respectively.
