Authorities in east Georgia report a bus carrying 19 people has flipped on I-20 closing all eastbound lanes fo traffic.

Physicians Hospital in Augusta claimed in a statement Thursday that six of the eight passengers obtained there have been in very good shape or had been dealt with and released.

A tour bus headed to the Masters golf tournament flipped over on a Georgia interstate on Thursday, injuring at least a dozen people.

Official said none of their injuries appeared to be life-threatening.


The driver of the bus has been charged with DUI, among other charges.

Another 10 victims were transported to Augusta University Hospital, where five are still in serious condition, a spokesperson said.

The bus driver has been charged with driving under the influence, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The crash blocked lanes in both directions about 15 miles from the golf tournament along a major route from Atlanta, where many golf fans fly in before driving the last leg.

Jet Executive Limousine Inc., the company that owns the bus, told CNN on Thursday morning it had no statement on the accident at this time.

A phone listing for Hoppenbrouwer was disconnected.

A lot of individuals were shot to hospitals however, that the patrol says that the injuries were not lifethreatening.
