Well a new post on the social network Weibo from Chang Cheng suggests that Lenovo S5 will be much more interesting smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The Mi TV 4A 43 inch TV is priced at Rs 22,999 and the 32-inch TV will be priced at Rs 13,999.
Given that the 4GB variant will clash with both Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Proin terms of pricing, Xiaomi might only launch the 2GB and 3GB RAM variants in the Indian market.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 is said to be an entry-level smartphone and will succeed the Redmi 4.
With the 3GB/32GB variant of the larger Redmi Note 5 being sold in India at Rs 9,999 it is not clear what price the Redmi 5 will be launched at. The smartphone is teased for March 14 launch event. Apparently, we can come t a conclusion that the company might have sold 5 million units of the Redmi 5A till date. Now the company is sending out teasers ahead of the release of the Redmi 5 smartphone, for the Indian market, on March 14. If you do not remember, back in January, the company announced that it sold 1 million units of the smartphone in one month of its launch.
The specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 as launched in China in December last has a metal unibody design with a display of 5.7-inch with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels (HD+). The bezels are still available but it will be thinner than traditional 16:9 aspect ratio smartphones. The e-commerce giant has put up a casual survey hinting towards what can be expected from the new Xiaomi smartphone.
The phone has 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM with an internal storage of 16GB and 32GB.
Being a budget category phone Xiaomi offers this phone with the older version 7.1.2 of the Android Nougat OS and with the inhouse MIUI 9.1 skin riding over it. The smartphone also has an option to expand the memory up to 128GB via microSD card. It will also come equipped with a 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone has a fingerprint scanner which will be placed on its back panel.
