Disney actress Caroline Sunshine joins the White House press team

The 22-year-old is best known for her role as teen dancer Tinka Hessenheffer on Shake It Up, alongside fellow Disney stars Zendaya and Bella Thorne. Sunshine recently attended Claremont McKenna College, interning for the Trump Administration during her time there, so her transition to a full-time position shouldn't come as a surprise.

Sunshine is something of a Young Republican stalwart, with a White House spokesperson bragging to CNN that she's interned for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), as well as for the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party. Caroline Sunshine is the newest member of Donald Trump's team, and you can get to know her here!

Caroline Sunshine, the star of a former Disney Channel series, has a new role: she will be heading to the White House. She also started in the 2010 film 'Marmaduke,' among many other roles.

Despite her youth, Ms Sunshine has more political experience than many of Mr Trump's existing advisers, including his daughter Ivanka Trump, a former model and businesswoman, and Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband, who is a former real estate developer.

The former actress is not the first television personality in President Trump's administration.

In November, Ms Sunshine shared a photo with her 235,000 Instagram followers of a badge that read "I voted" with a caption urging her fans to "GO VOTE".

Star of NBC's The Apprentice Donald Trump is now president of the United States, and he has filled his administration with people like Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner from Gossip Girl and other people he's seen on Fox News. She's also worked with the Joyful Sewing Organization, Working Wardrobes, the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center, Adopt a Hero, Loaves and Fishes Ministry and Thirst Project.
