Amazon's Alexa is randomnly laughing at users

Deezer music streaming service now supports Alexa voice control

Amazon Alexa now supports music streaming from Deezer

"WHY DID MY ALEXA JUST LAUGH OUT OF THE BLUE?!?!?!?" wrote one user on Twitter.

"We're aware of this and working to fix it", Amazon told The Verge when asked about the unprompted laughter.

Posting on Twitter, Alexa users have described the laugh as "creepy", "evil", "bone-chilling" and "freaky".

And please let us know what you think by submitting a review on the Alexa app.

Considering how Alexa's functions are relatively standard regarding what she can and cannot do when users started to notice Alexa laughing they started to freak out. You can even access Deezer's Flow feature through Alexa which will play music continuously until you ask Alexa to stop, which is flawless if you're in the mood for music all day and night.

"I was trying to turn off some lights and they kept turning back on. We had the Dot laugh several times and it wasn't the laugh Alexa produces, but definitely sounded like a canned laugh, not like someone laughing live". They should have saved this "Alexa laugh" for Halloween. Others have reported creepier occurrences like hearing Alexa giggle without any prompt. "I still get chills".

While my Echo device has lit up and responded to random noises in my home a few times, I've never experienced the laughing issue.

With Alexa voice control being added as a new feature, Deezer will be available to listen to on Amazon Echo devices, Sonos One, UE Blast and Megablast speakers and any other speaker that supports Alexa voice control.
