Isaiah Thomas Traded to the Lakers, Cavs Career Ends With LeBron Ignoring His Ass

Jordan Clarkson has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are shipping All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas to the Los Angeles Lakers, according to an ESPN.com report by Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday (Friday morning, Manila time).

The Cavs also protected themselves if they lose James by hanging onto the first-round pick they acquired last summer in the blockbuster trade that sent All-Star Kyrie Irving to Boston for Thomas, Crowder and centre Ante Zizic. Thomas and Frye are both expiring contracts, which enables to the Lakers to dangle max-level contracts to free agent this summer.

Cleveland have been looking for players who can help this season and beyond and Nance and Clarkson fit that mould.

Just hours before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline, the Cleveland Cavaliers have undergone a massive makeover. The Lakers seem like they'll attempt to bring Thomas back next season, but if LeBron James decides he wants to sign with them, Thomas will be stuck in traffic with a pink slip before he knows what happened. "Nance's 59 dunks this season are more than any Cavaliers player has, save James, per Basketball-Reference.com".

Thomas was traded from the Kings to the Suns in 2014.

Rumors were circulating that the Cavaliers were aiming to move the first-round draft pick that they received from Boston, which originally belonged to the Brooklyn Nets, but they were searching for a high caliber player considering the pick will likely be a top-10 in this stronger draft year. One could be used on California native Paul George. With the Lakers hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on February 15, the school and Thomas moved the event back two days.

The Cavs needed to make a move.

"I don't [want to be traded]", Thomas said.

So first, we'll tackle the fantasy winners and losers on the teams they traded with, then circle back to round up the fantasy impact of the new-look Cavs' lineup.

Thus, they tried to split the difference on this trade, and largely wound up not doing much for their prospects either way.

The deal does carry financial ramifications for Cleveland. "You don't want to foul him, and I thought KAT (Towns) had great pressure on the ball".

Both he and Clarkson will be part of their first playoff team.
