Nicole Kidman hails power of women during Golden Globes speech

Sam Rockwell won the second prize of the night for best supporting actor in a movie for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, while Rachel Brosnahan won the best actress in a TV comedy prize for The Marvellous Mrs Maisel.

Kidman also thanked her other "Big Little Lies" co-stars Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern and said that this award is not just "hers", rather "theirs" to share as a unit.

"Nicole, I love you", he said.

Big Little Lies won big at the Golden Globes earlier this week by nabbing awards in every category in which it was nominated.

As Alexander's name was announced as the victor of Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Limited Series Or Movie award at the 2017 awards show, Nicole jumped to her feet and pulled him in before planting a big kiss on his lips - right in front of husband Keith Urban.

Others pointed out that Nicole had done the same thing in her acceptance speech at the Emmy Awards last fall, when she picked up a statuette for the same role.

After her big win at the Golden Globes, Kidman celebrated by posting her first Instagram photo - a shot of her shutting down the after-party.

The Sydney-raised star has rarely spoken about the reason behind her split from Cruise, however, many have speculated his involvement in Scientology played a major role. "I am so proud of my Big Little Lies family and to have stood with my sisters on such a special night", the caption reads.
