Jose Mourinho believes his Manchester United side are finally adapting their style of play to suit Paul Pogba who hasn't tasted defeat in 35 Premier League games.

The former Chelsea boss initially signed a three-year deal with the option of an additional 12 months when he replaced Louis van Gaal back in 2016.

Also, earlier this month, it was understood that Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes had a meet with club's officials regarding a potential extension and now as things stand, the 54-year-old is close to signing a new deal with the club. Fast-forward to the present, and Mourinho is facing a similar career crossroad as United manager, which is why his decision to commit to a new contract at the club is so significant.

"He could be a very important player for us". He was already improving and playing well when I start playing him after that long spell without minutes. "But that's the ongoing challenge of being at Burnley Football Club and I enjoy that challenge", Dyche added.

Pogba was vast during United's 3-0 victory at Old Trafford last night, and he admitted afterwards that he feels he can impact games more when given the freedom to get forward more often. It is just thinking about the improvement of the team in the future.

"I think that's for me the point of the January transfer window: to help the clubs that didn't work well in the summer and they feel they have to do something in January to help what they didn't do well before".

"I'm hopeful. My hope remains intact", Mata said.

"But if you have the chance to do (something for) some special players, some player in special circumstances, some player that you (try to) do in the summer and you have the chance to do it now, that's a special situation and you try to do it".
