Donald Trump is being dragged on Twitter after he appeared to not know numerous words to the National Anthem during his appearance at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia.
Aravosis said: "This is priceless, as only 3 hours after he tweeted this Trump tried to sing the National Anthem and forgot the words".
Following the national anthem, Alabama running back Bo Scarborough, who clearly wasn't happy with Trump (figuratively) kicking off the game, was heard yelling an anti-Trump slur before taking the field.
Trump began singing along from the very beginning of the song, but only mouthed a few words here and there.
One comment read: "Super obvious Trump doesn't know the words to our National Anthem".
The president was reportedly greeted with a mixture of cheers and boos while taking the field. This is OUR President", wrote "That Trump Guy.
"Wouldn't you love to see one of these National Football League owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, he's fired?'" Trump said in August. "So unprecedented as far as I know", tweeted Vaughn Esham.
On the way to the game on Monday, Trump signed a law creating a new national historic park for the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
While Trump stood among service members at midfield with his hand across his chest, cameramen zoomed in on Trump who appeared to be mumbling the words.
Trump has singled out ex-NFL quarterback Kaepernick for launching the trend a year ago, and called other pro ballers SOBs who should be fired for participating in the silent protests.
The mixed reception could be a worry for the White House, coming deep in Trump country in a contest watched by fans from two nominally Republican states.
