However, ahead of CES 2018, HP is launching a brand new Chromebox with updated specs, ports, and more. Add to that the small 11.6-inch display, and it can be packed in your bag easily. The Chomebox G2 has a microSD card slot, a single HDMI port, a USB-C port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, and an Ethernet hookup.

The HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE is quite similar to the Acer Chromebook 11 in terms of the specifications - It will feature a 11.6-inch screen with 1366x768p resolution with both touch and non-touch version on sale. The laptop is powered by Intel's Celeron processor. Road warriors will appreciate the impressive 10-hour battery life. The Chromebook 11 has a touch display option and a non-touch display one as well. The new Chromebook models can be of either 16GB or 32GB of storage with both models equipped with 4GB RAM.

Today, Acer unveils its latest Chromebook 11, and it is absolutely handsome.

The device is just 0.71 inches thin and weighs 2.43 pounds.

Also, in case it's not already clear, the Acer Chromebook 11 runs Chrome OS and supports Google Play right out of the box which means you can run your favorite Android apps on the Chromebook 11.

The Acer Chromebook 11 (CB311-8HT/ CB311-8H) is going to be aimed at consumers and families, or anyone who uses their device in a shared space or moves around.

Chromebooks are easy to use and ideal for sharing by multiple users.

Google Assistant is noticeably missing, despite the Pixelbook being out for a few months now, meaning that we should, in theory, see it on other Chromebooks - then again, it's possible that Google didn't make Assistant available to partners soon enough for CES and the various product launches. As far as its availability is on quest, the new Chromebook 11 is set to be launched initially in EMEA, most probably in coming March.

Still, given most people look to Chrome OS for its balance of capabilities and affordability, we suspect more will pick the new Acer than cough up around four times the amount for the Pixelbook.
