Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S9 at MWC 2018

There have been many leaks and rumours surrounding Samsung's Galaxy S9 range since the launch of its latest Galaxy S8, however none have been more comprehensive as the past two days.

If the predictions are right, Samsung will see its annual smartphone shipment decrease for the first time since its flagship Galaxy S series came to exist in 2010.

Of course, none of this is confirmed at this point.

Although this does give us a clearer picture of what to expect with the smaller model, the more interesting part lies in the renders of the Galaxy S9 Plus. But we'll note that there's no official quarrel between Samsung and Qualcomm other than Samsung's endorsement of Apple's claim against the chipmaker.

Lastly, Korean publisher The Bell has stated that Samsung will unveil is Galaxy S9 line at the MWC in February 2018, however, neither device will be available for purchase until the following August.

According to rumors, Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will have same design and Infinity Display Screen size as that of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. We've been seeing upcoming mobile devices but we're excited to know what Samsung and LG will introduce. While it's understandable that the less premium-model have few features, the fact that the camera in the base S9 model will likely be noticeably worse than that of its big brother is obviously a bit of a disappointment. The fingerprint scanner will also be located underneath the camera rather than offset, which is a welcome change from an S8 misstep that many customers weren't happy with. The Note 8 has the best display we have ever seen on a smart phone and it wins this round against the V30 Plus hands down. The Galaxy S9 is basically a Galaxy S8 with a new rear camera and fingerprint sensor arrangement. More people use their phones as their primary form of entertainment around the world, so a bigger screen is necessary.

The phones will also be IP68 water and dust resistant and will include a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

If we talk about the leaked specifications, the Galaxy S9 phone to sport a 5.8 Inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display.
