In fact, according to the handwritten letter he wrote to Santa-which his father, Prince William, personally delivered today-he only wants one thing: a police vehicle.

In what is clearly George's handwriting, the four-year-old informs Santa that all he wants is a "police car" under his tree.

"Dear Father Christmas this year I have been naughty/nice", it began.

On the top of his pre-printed letter to Father...

But it looks like even 4-year-old royals still have a few things to add to their wish lists.

There was a long list where George could write what he wanted, but the young royal only had one wish - he asked for a police auto.

While the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge remains at home in London's Kensington Palace, the Duke is on a solo visit to Finland where he is scheduled to meet former USA vice president Al Gore and Crown Prince Daniel of Sweden at a technology festival.

The second-in-line to the throne pulled the letter from his suit jacket pocket and handed it to Father Christmas, saying: "I've seen you and I had to give you this letter".

Before meeting Father Christmas, William went on a walkabout in a nearby park, greeting hundreds of well-wishers who braved freezing conditions.

Before ending his visit the duke, a former RAF search and rescue pilot, will meet members of the Finnish Air Force at Helsinki airport and will have the chance to chat to pilots and see a display of the aircraft they fly.
