Both these devices will be first from Samsung to feature dual front cameras. Both the phones come equipped with an Infinity screen, which means, that much like Samsung's Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+, the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ 2018 also come with an edge-to-edge bezel-less display.
Internal storage: The Galaxy A8 2018 and the Galaxy A8+ 2018 will be available in 32GB and 64GB internal storage options with both the options supporting expandable storage by up to 256GB via a micro-SD card slot. In the forthcoming Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, there will be the presence of fingerprint scanner just under the camera panel, and the other flashlight LED and heart rate sensor will be placed adjacent to the group consisting camera lens and fingerprint sensor.
An anonymous Weibo user in China (yeah, we know, don't shoot the messenger) has posted an alleged rear cover from the Galaxy S9 (below via BGR). The back camera has a solitary 16-megapixel lens, and a low f/1.7 aperture for incredible lowlight shots. Samsung's new Galaxy S flagship phones are the next big launch coming down the pipeline, with an unveiling expected in late February ahead of a March release. Talking about the Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphones, they will also include the Live Focus feature to adjust the background blur after capturing the image. Disappointingly though, rather than Android Oreo the A8 (2018) runs Android 7.1.1. Under the hood, the Galaxy A8 (2018) & Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be powered by Exynos 7885 processor.
The Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8 Plus (2018) will launch in four colours including black, orchid grey, gold and blue. It's also dust and water resistance and compatible with Samsung Pay. They will also support wired fast charging and wireless charging. The front, in the case of the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ 2018, is clean and without any physical buttons. The battery capacities are 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh for the smaller and larger models respectively (matching the S8 duo).
