A Conservative source told the Evening News that the packages received were invitations to the Inverness Courier newspaper's 200th anniversary celebration event.

A section of the Scottish Parliament has been evacuated after the apparent discovery of suspicious packages.
One sent to Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston was opened by a staff member, and a white powder was found.
The vehicle entry system had been closed to enable emergency services access, the chief executive said. They then evacuated the building and were examining the contents of the packages.
A Scottish Parliament spokesman said: "The incident involved the discovery of suspicious packages in the MSP building".
The offices of Liz Smith, Jamie Halcro-Johnston, Edward Mountain are now closed off while business continues as usual in the other parts of the building.
"The MSP block is now open and embers and their staff can return to their offices".
