Ohio Supreme Court Justice Bill O'Neill Allegedly Posts About Sexual Encounters On Facebook

Many viewed the post as remarkably tone-deaf in the national debate over sexual misconduct allegations and evidence against a series of powerful men in Hollywood, the media and in politics. She has accepted his apology.

Former state Rep. Connie Pillich, a fellow Democrat, condemned O'Neill Friday for "joking and trivializing sexual assault".

Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor also issued a statement condemning O'Neill's Facebook update.

Ohio Democratic Party chair David Pepper called O'Neill's post "terrible" in a Tweet. He writes that he is "sooooo disappointed" by the current watershed moment in public discourse about sexual violence, that he calls a "feeding frenzy".


O'Neill's post was immediately met with outrage from both sides of the political spectrum in OH, with most calling for him to withdraw from the governor's race immediately. Al Franken (D-MN), the candidate's campaign manager has resigned.
