Variety reports that Law's character will also be Mar-Vell in the upcoming film. Samuel L. Jackson is supposed to make an appearance as Nick Fury in Captain Marvel as well. The film will co-star Ben Mendelsohn as the villain. One thing we know for sure: the film is going to be a bit of a prequel for the MCU, set almost 20 years before the events of the original 2008 Iron Man.
