After several tough hits in the first half against the Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston left the game with a shoulder injury and did not return. Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter announced Monday that team doctors chose to sideline the quarterback for at least two weeks based on MRI results.

The Bucs got stomped by the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon, trailing 30-3 in the third quarter, but after quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick took a shot, a fight broke out on the sidelines.

Winston had been dealing with issues in his right shoulder since it was reported that he injured the AC joint in his shoulder in a Week 6 matchup against the Cardinals.

Fitzpatrick will make his first start of the season against the team he started 27 games for from 2015-17.

"Jameis had an MRI today and as a result of that MRI he's going to be out for the next couple weeks and we'll be activating Ryan Griffin to the 53-man roster this week at some point", said Koetter. He's thrown 10 touchdowns but six interceptions, totaling 1,920 yards through the season's first half.

Fitzpatrick, 34, completed 8 of 15 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown in relief of Winston on Sunday.
