Apple releases iOS 11.1.2 update with fix for iPhone X touchscreen responsiveness in the cold

The company knew and understood that this issue needed to be fixed sooner rather than later.

Apple has released a new version of iOS 11 which fixes a widely reported screen freezing issue with its new iPhone X. It's a minor, bug-fix update that benefits iPhone X users who encountered issues after acquiring the new phone just under two weeks ago. Although apps like Facebook, Twitter, and some of Microsoft's own apps were updated on launch day to support the new iPhone X, some popular apps weren't quick enough to add support for the device. While these changes are now limited to beta testers, Apple recently released iOS 11.1.1 to all customers with a fix for the notorious autocorrect issue that turned "I" into 'A [?]'. iOS 11.1.2 included a fix for iPhone X screens not working momentarily during cold conditions.

The barrage of iOS 11 updates continue.

Spotify doesn't do anything fancy around the "notch" sensor housing, but the updated app looks great on iPhone X as the interface extends to all four corners of the display. These are not the only set of problems plaguing the Apple iPhone X. Unfortunately, Apple Pay Cash, which is one of the most significant features of the iOS 11 has not been introduced yet. It covers 2 major iPhone X complaints and nameless bug fixes. The company is now testing this feature in the iOS 11.2 Beta.
