In an unexpected battle of the backups, Minnesota quarterback Case Keenum out-dueled Green Bay's Brett Hundley as the Vikings beat the Packers 23-10 on Sunday, forging a tie atop the NFC North standings. "We had a game plan, and we pretty much stuck to it".
At 5-1, the Eagles now have the best record in the NFC, but the Packers were not far behind entering Sunday at 4-1.
The Packers had five first downs and 102 yards over the first three quarters.
The 33-year-old signal caller, whose 13 touchdown passes this season shared the league lead, suffered the injury in the opening quarter of the Packers' game at Minnesota.
Coach Mike McCarthy plans to do that with Hundley. "I let him know I love him and I've got him", Hundley said, "and we'll go from here". McKinnon scored rushing and receiving touchdowns, the third time in his career he's had two scores in a game, and had the hot hand throughout, leading him to finish as the team's leading rusher (16 carries for 69 yards). "He caught the ball well today, he ran the ball good. there's still some things we have to correct with him, as with a lot of our guys, but it's always good correcting after wins".
Rodgers missed seven starts in 2013 when he broke his left collarbone.
As Rodgers walked gingerly to the sideline, he turned to jaw at Barr before entering a tent on the sideline for examination. RT Bryan Bulaga (concussion) was knocked out of action, and LT David Bakhtiari's hamstring injury flared up.
NOTES: These teams played the first regular season game in U.S. Bank Stadium a year ago, with Minnesota prevailing 17-14.
Vikings: WR Michael Floyd (calf) was hurt during the game, with LG Nick Easton (calf) already out.
The Vikings play Baltimore at home, then travel to London to play Cleveland.
