Hmm. It was pretty big last season, so this doesn't bode well. In the season finale, we learned that Will had brought the Upside Down back with him, opening a portal between his world and the next. We've been promised a darker, scarier season two, and the trailer drives that home. Watch the final trailer above. Along the way, they team up with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), a young girl with psychokinetic powers and a mad craving for waffles.
It's 1984, and for the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, the Demogorgon was just the beginning. We can also predict that if Eleven is back, The Monster-or some variation of a monstrous creature from The Upside Down-will probably return too. And we should be especially anxious for Will, who is having nightmares about something else and no one seems to know what's wrong with him.
Season 2 comes to Netflixon Oct. 27. Of course we're all going to watch the new Stranger Things trailer, because it's incredible and we're all powerless to resist the veritable gravitational pull of the Upside Down.
Now that we've seen the teaser, the wait is going to be even more arduous.
