According to a Huffington Post report, Lauren Sivan who was working as a news anchor with a local cable channel in NY at the time said the experience had left her shocked and that she had discussed the incident with her friends who had advised her to remain quiet. She later rode with him and others to Socialista, a Cuban-themed club and restaurant in which Weinstein and Giuseppe Cipriani, who was then the head of the Cipriani restaurant empire, were investors. "Sivan says Weinstein ejaculated quickly into a potted plant that was in the vestibule and then proceeded to zip up his trousers, and they walked back into the kitchen".
'Well, can you just stand there and shut up, ' Weinstein allegedly told Sivan before completing the lurid act. Since more than 10 minutes had passed, Sivan's friend says she went to look for them, but was initially stopped by a security guard.
But it didn't end there: Weinstein allegedly called Sivan the next day to say he'd had "a great time" and asked if she'd like to meet up with him once he was back from some travel.
But that all ended on Saturday, after she endured days of criticism for defending the kind of behavior she has been known to attack.
At that point, Sivan claims that Weinstein exposed himself and began masturbating.
She described the incident to the Huffington Post. She says the experience left her shocked, and that while she told friends privately what happened, she remained quiet because she was in a long-term relationship and fearful of the power that Weinstein wielded in the media. She also tweeted an explanation.
Even Bloom's mother, the prominent attorney Gloria Allred, implicitly criticized Bloom for working with Weinstein. Sivan noted to HuffPost that Weinstein's auto was "stocked full of cases of Diet Coke", which she said she found to be odd. They said he appeared partially of fully naked in front of them.
Brzezinski is in that camp, as she made clear in a series of tweets threatening to pull out of the book deal if Weinstein does not resign.
Brzezinski, who signed a July book deal with a Weinstein company, declared she would not honor her contract unless the Oscar-winning movie mogul is gone. The producer disputed the report but immediately apologized for misconduct and announced that he would be taking a leave of absence from his company.
