Destiny 2 PC open beta launches on Battle.net

The Destiny 2 open beta will begin today at 10am PT, joining the players enjoying the early access period since yesterday.

The Destiny 2 Beta on PC has launched, and among the many saxophones and chives, PC players have finally managed to get their first taste of Destiny. After a rocky start, most players were able to get into the beta and start playing once Bungie made some adjustments to the servers on their end. The recommended specifications, meanwhile, are an Intel Core i5-2400 or an AMD Ryzen R5 1600X for the processor, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 390 for the graphics card, and 8 GB of RAM.

If you're hit with the error, you'll need to restart Battle.net and then try launching Destiny 2 again, though in our experience you'll simply encounter the same issue. If players launch the Beta client directly from the executable, they may receive an error message or the Destiny 2 Beta client may become unresponsive.


Destiny 2 will release on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6 and will arrive on PC on October 24th.
